Dawn in the Forland area

A wet and cold view of Svalbard.

Made much the same journey twice. - Six persons, two boats, eleven days.

The first time we spent lots of time mending a huge hole in one of the boats, but had great experiences too.

The last time we had the benefit of experience and better planning, but the weather gave us a hard time. The days are shortening fast in December, and the temperature reached ten below. That's harsh when you get sprayed by water for each wave you meet.

Due to a snow storm we got short of time when going home, and we had an exiting end of the journey when driving in the dark, with huge waves.
