In the ice with a catamaran

S/Y Káti is no ice-breaker, but despite of that she proved to be a perfect base for exploring the arctic.

We started from Harstad, Norway the 9th of July in nice weather and good wind.

Later it became more harsh and we were motoring up against gale, and through quiet weather.

We spent three weeks exploring the west ant north coast of Spitsbergen, until we met the ice and were surfing back to Bergen, Norway  with perfect wind for seven days..
